Rita Misserville

Rita (Iasimone) Misserville, 88, of Sarasota, FL, and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully with her six children at her bedside, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born on August 18, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank and Amurinta (Valentino) Iasimone.

Born in Lawrence, Rita was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1952. She later attended Bryant McIntosh Business School, following which she worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Company.
She met the love of her life, Francis Misserville, and was married in 1955, and together they raised six children. Once her children were grown, she returned to work for the Arlington Trust Company, dedicating twenty years of service as a head teller.

In 1989, she moved to Florida and enjoyed many happy years spending much time on the beaches. She especially loved Siesta Key Beach, with its white, salt-like sand and spectacular sunsets. She enjoyed her Saturday morning coffee and thrifting with her friends. She was very crafty and loved making personalized gift baskets for her family and friends to enjoy.

Late in life, she met and found happiness with Herb Stacy.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Francis Misserville, who died in 1984.

She is survived by her children, Marie Wilcox and her husband Paul, Richard Misserville and his wife Mary Beth, Stephen Misserville, James Misserville and his wife Karyl, Donna Coulombe, Nancy Minicucci and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Richard, Jr., Kelly, and Nicholas Misserville, Francis Misserville, Jason Beers, Kristene Kelley, Kat Misserville, Peter Kesting, Jr., Michael Coulombe, Caryn Price, Thomas Monahan, Michael Minicucci, Jr.; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, March 25, 2024, between 9:00-11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Peasant Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in St. Mary–Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Methuen.
